Хари може и да остава някаква загадка, но останалите са разкрити със силните и слабите им страни. Тяхната познаваема човечност придава плътност на разгръщащия се разказ за убийство и мистерия, с който Мол се утвърждава като режисьор, достоен за внимание.

Michel and Claire are on the edge of a nervous breakdown in a cramped hot car with three screaming children. At a roadside rest stop, Michel meets Harry who, after some encouragement, recalls that they went to high school together. Harry and his girlfriend Plum weasel their way into Michel and Claire's life, and soon the two are following the haggard family to their tumbledown summer cottage. Though Harry seems friendly enough, Michel and Claire start to notice that something is not quite right with their newfound friend - he recites from memory a poem Michel wrote 20 years ago, he suddenly buys them an expensive new Jeep when their old car dies, and he has a tendency to kill people who get on his nerves.

Hitchcockian in tone, with a hint of 1960s Chabrol thrown in, Dominik Moll's intriguing second feature has enough mystery and unsettling humour to sustain its grip over two hours. The opening scene captures perfectly the nightmare of a frazzled family drive on a broiling summer's day. Not just another tale of a murderous maniac lurking beneath a surface of impenetrable civility, the film delves deeper into character and relationships. Harry may remain something of an enigma, but the others are revealed in all their strengths and weaknesses. Their recognisable humanity lends a richness to the tale of murder and mystery that unfolds and helps confirm Moll as a director to watch.
